The glassblower works at the edge of the market quarter, in a shop that sits between a stall that doesn't advertise what it sells and a corridor that most people choose not to walk down. The glass shop has no sign. It doesn't need one. The light it puts into the street at night is enough. Molten color, moving slowly, the particular warmth of something being made on purpose in a place that mostly trades in things made without it.

Luna found it the way she finds most things in Ironspire — by following the wrong street deliberately and seeing what it had. She ducked inside. The glassblower was at the furnace, pulling a gather of molten glass and spinning it with the unhurried attention of someone who has been doing this long enough that the glass tells her what it wants to be before she decides. Luna stood in the doorway for a moment, reading the room the way she always reads rooms in this city — exits, weight, what is and isn't being said. Then she came in. Sat on the bench by the wall. Watched.

The glassblower did not look up. This was not rudeness. In Ironspire, not looking up is sometimes the highest respect — the acknowledgment that whoever just came through your door already knows what they're doing and does not need to be managed. Luna understood this. She sat quietly, which is not her usual approach to most things, and watched the glass become something it had not been a moment before.
