Luna almost missed it.

She'd been so sure they were wolves — the silver-grey shapes in the print, the sharp eyes, the way they seemed to watch you back from the fabric. She'd told Chelle as much when the shipment arrived.

Chelle had tilted her head. Looked closer.

Luna, she said carefully. Those are foxes.

Luna snatched the tee back. Held it up to the light. Looked at the pointed ears, the clever narrow face, the tail curled just so at the edge of the design.

A long pause.

I knew that, Luna said.
